My work is built around color, contrast, and texture. Using a mixed media approach — acrylic, oil, and plaster — I create layered, dimensional paintings that have presence and weight. The surface is intentional: built up, scraped back, and reworked until the transitions between tone and texture are not seen as much as felt.
I paint from a canal studio in New Hope, PA. The water, the surrounding textures, and the way light moves through the space have a direct influence on my work.
